Grammostola pulchra is one of the most well-known and appreciated tarantulas for its docile temperament, easy to handle and beautiful black coloration with blue shades; it feeds on feeder insects and reaches 15/17 cm legspan included

SIZE: M 4-5 cm. 

SEX: Female 

FOUND IN: South Brazil, Uruguay,

ENVIROMENTAL VALUES: temperature 26-27 degrees Celsius during the day, 23-24 degrees Celsius night humidity 55-65%

FEEDING: insects size appropriate to size (grills, cockroaches, worms, locusts) Medium size isopods, can eat up to 5 adult crickets/week

SETUP: Terrarium or faunabox 30x30x25, substrate 5 cm peat, along with tropical plants, bowl with water or hydrogel always present and a natural or artificial shelter

HABITS: Terrestrial Tarantula

AGGRESSIVNESS: 1 – medium, docile and slow in movement despite being a fairly voracious variety and is very recommended for newbies

GROWTH RAPIDIITY: Low

LIFESPAN: 10/20 years, some specimens can reach up to 30 years in captivity
