SIZE: About 5/6 cm

FOUND IN: Mexico and arid plains

ENVIRONMENTAL VALUES: temperatures between 25 to 26 degrees Celsius during the day, and 20 to 22 degrees Celsius at night, humidity 60-70%

DIET: adequate size insects (crickets, cockroaches, worms, locusts)

SETUP: terrarium or faunabox 30x30x30, substrate with about  3-5 cm vermiculite and peat or coconut fiber, along with water bowl always available and a natural or artificial shelter

HABITS: Terrestrial arachnid/opportunistic

BEHAVIOR: A very easy to care for spider, suitable for beginners. It can make short sprints if frightened and, like all Brachypelmas, it can emit stinging hairs.

GROWTH RATE: Low, has a very slow metabolism being inactive and among the longest living Tarantulas

LIFESPAN: Can reach up to 25 to 30 years in captivity
