The Sericolpelma 'Santa Catalina' is a tarantula recently present on the market, aggressive and with a beautiful color, as well as being one of the largest in all of Central America.

SIZE: S-2cm; M-2.5cm excluding legspan; when adult it reaches about 7/10 cm (legspan excluded)

ORIGIN: Panama, Costa Rica

AMBIENT VALUES: temperature 27 ° -28 ° C daytime, 22-23 ° C nighttime humidity 70-80%

FEEDING: insects of small size for spiderlings, and, from size M, meal insects (crickets, cockroaches, worms, locusts) of adequate size are good. Medium-sized isopods; In particular, crickets and locusts are indicated as they are highly protein.

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT: small terrarium or faunabox, starting from 30x30x35 / 40 cm. The substrate should be at least 10/15 cm high peat and mixed coconut fiber, together with tropical plants, a natural or artificial refuge where it will burrow during the day or to consume its prey. Mists are required twice a week to maintain internal humidity while still maintaining adequate ventilation and providing an adequate source of hydration for the animal
