ORIGINE: Papua New Guinea

AMBIENTAMENT VALUES: temperature 23-25C during the day, 22-24 degrees Celsius overnight humidity 60-70%

TIP CONSES: small terrarium or faunabox, 20x20x20; area of the terrarium is important. It is advisable to insert a cork bark that helps the setting being these nocturnal animals.

The substrate should be low around 3/4 cm peat and/or vermiculite, along with tropical plants and branches to allow better internal handling of these insects. Daily spraying is required to keep indoor moisture constant and promote hydration for these insects, especially in the morning.

ABITUDINI: arboreal like all insects itself; if frightened or stressed, it can go into "tanatosis", remaining motionless on the ground even for several minutes pretending to be dead. For deposition it is advisable to use a tray filled with 5 cm of peat or vermiculitis

AGGRESSIVITA: 1 – If particularly stressed they can use their hind legs with spines and/or separate an unpleasant substance as a deterrent system
