Hyllus diardi is one of the world's largest jumping spiders, native to Indonesia and Southeast Asia. Also known as the eyelash jumping spider, it is a popular terrarium pet due to its large size and docile behavior
DIMENSIONS: Size M - approximately 2.5 cm, reaching over 4 cm in length at the legs.
ORIGIN: Indonesia/Southeast Asia
ENVIRONMENTAL VALUES: Temperatures 24°-26°C during the day/20°-22°C at night, Humidity 50/60%
DIET: Small insects (mainly midges and crickets) should be fed a varied diet. They will occasionally accept Thermobia and other prey such as Tenebrio molitor.
RECOMMENDED SETUP: 20x20x25h terrarium, approximately 3-4 cm of substrate with peat or coconut fiber, occasional misting to provide adequate hydration and a natural or artificial shelter. It requires optimal ventilation and prefers natural, non-direct light.
HABITS: Primarily arboreal, as it hunts flying and very active prey.
