Goliathus goliatus is one of the largest and most sought-after insects by enthusiasts; it reaches 11 cm in length and 110 grams in weight and its management is very simple and without too many needs

DIMENSIONS: 11/12 cm length adult form

ORIGIN: Central Africa

AMBIENT VALUES: temperature 22 ° -25 ° C daytime, 18 ° C nighttime humidity 60-70%

DIET: omnivorous, it feeds on organic material, jellypots and easily assimilable material

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT: terrarium or faunabox 30x30x30 or even larger, substrate about 15 cm high with peat and coconut fiber, mixture with foliage and plant debris that will especially support the larva in the development stage. There must also be a bowl with water and one for food, not too high for the beetle to access. The female spends a large part in the substrate while the male wanders around the terrarium on the branches.

HABITS: terricolous, typical of the subtropical undergrowth environments
