Mecynorrhina torquata ugandensis, also known as Giant flower beetle is a beetle native to Uganda, it can be kept in small groups or in pairs, in containers of at least 50 liters (pairs).

ORIGIN: Uganda
ENVIRONMENTAL VALUES: 25-26°C daytime temperature, 18-22°C nighttime temperature, 60-80% humidity
DIET: Fruit jellies (jellypot) and leaf debris present in the substrate
RECOMMENDED SETUP: 30x20x20 cm terrarium or fauna box; for a trio or pair, a 50-liter terrarium or fauna box is required. A specific beetle substrate, with a dry to moist base in a 2:1 ratio, along with terrarium plants or foliage that provide adequate shelter, hydration provided by daily misting (once a day) or hydrogel.
HABITS: This is a gregarious species that lives in small groups in a specific area and is nocturnal.
