Hypoestes phyllostachya 'Baker' is a tropical plant of easy management and small size, suitable for tropical apartments and terrariums; it requires medium-high humidity and suffers from drafts, especially in winter
It is a plant that needs high humidity and not direct sun exposure as it loves shady areas and suffers from drafts; this cultivar comes from Madagascar
In the apartment it provides a magnificent aesthetic effect, thanks to the green leaves with various polka dots and pink veins, with a maintained size of about 20/25 cm in pot
In terrariums, it is used for tropical or subtropical settings, while remaining small, suitable for installations that require particularly robust plants at high temperatures and high humidity, providing shelter to various reptiles, amphibians and exotic insects.
We recommend a management temperature between 25/26 ° C ° and humidity of 80/90% in the terrarium; in the apartment, standard temperatures of any home are fine, avoiding temperatures below 15 ° C
