Selaginella kraussina, also called the resurrection plant, is an easy-to-manage plant from East Africa, colorful and characterized by fronds similar to those of ferns. It requires little water and does not like water stagnation
In spring it requires a moist soil with regular watering, to be reduced in winter 1-2 times a week.
It is called the resurrection plant as it tends to close inwards when rather low external temperatures are reached, in order to protect itself from the cold.
In terrariums, it is used for tropical or subtropical settings, while remaining small, suitable for installations that require particularly robust plants at medium temperatures and humidity, providing shelter to various reptiles, amphibians and exotic insects.
We recommend a management temperature between 20/22 ° C ° and humidity of 70/80% in the terrarium; in the apartment, standard temperatures of any home are fine, avoiding temperatures below 12 ° C
