ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Daytime temperature 25-26°C, nighttime 20-21°C, humidity 60-80%, with dual forced ventilation.
DIET: Insects of appropriate size (crickets, roaches, worms, locusts), medium-sized isopods.
RECOMMENDED SETUP: Terrarium or faunabox 20x20x30 cm for a single specimen; larger for groups of 3-4 individuals. Requires a vertically developed substrate of approximately 2-3 cm coconut fiber, along with aerial tropical plants or foliage providing adequate shelter, with leaves on the bottom. Hydration is maintained through daily misting (once per day).
BEHAVIOR: Gregarious; can live in large groups in the nymph stage but must be kept alone in the sub-adult/adult stage.
AGGRESSIVENESS: 5 – Moderately aggressive towards conspecifics, with minimal risk of cannibalism.
GROWTH RATE: Medium growth and voracious; lifespan of approximately 1.5 years (males) and 2 years (females).
