DIET: Plant-based foods; fresh or dried vegetables are highly appreciated, though they should be provided in moderate amounts to prevent unwanted mold growth. Supplement weekly with calcium carbonate to prevent deficiencies that could lead to shell fractures or malformations. Occasional supplementation with fish food is recommended to provide a welcome protein boost.
SETUP: Terrarium or faunabox (30x30x30 cm or larger) with a coconut fiber-based substrate and small natural furnishings (roots, moss, sphagnum, leaves, etc.). Additional natural or artificial decorations are optional. Misting is essential: every 2–3 days in winter, and daily during the summer.
