South-East Asian snake in beautiful colors

DIMENSIONS: Medium/large size; adult males up to 120cm; females around 180cm
ORIGINE: Southeast Asia
AMBIENTAMENT VALUES: temperature 25-29 degrees Celsius during the day, 22-24 degrees Celsius at night, humidity 60/80%
ALIMENTATION: In the wild they prey on small reptiles but, in captivity, they can accept fish, small vertebrates such as mice (pinky) or similar or other reptiles (for meal). It is particularly challenging and needs space to move in search of food and does not always easily accept the food offered alternative, even for long periods.
TIP SETTINGS: Terrarium for arboreals, minimum sizes 50x50x100 and even more. It needs branches on which he likes to climb and stop during the day or for hunting. Substrate consisting of coconut fiber and/or peat to keep moisture at a good level, as well as a bowl for water, from which it tends to drink as you get used to it, since you prefer to drink from constant spraying in the terrarium. For the welfare of the animal important further enrichment with arboreal plants (Philodendrum, Ficus, Photos).
ABITUDINI: arboreal reptile, which spends the day hanging on branches or plants
AGGRESSIVITA: 4 – average, with a non-aggressive disposition even if annoyed can "throw" with the mouth wide open towards the subject. A minimum presence of poison in this snake should also be considered, although not disabling for humans, it is advisable to proceed with caution to the management and/or manipulation if necessary. Recommended to experienced terrariophiles
